Atif Aslam is a Pakistani singer born in Wazirabad in 1983. He is not only a rock star but also a very talented musician and a song writer. He started singing while studying at PAF College with his friend Gohar. They used to sing together in Independence Day celebrations and several other events. Before going to PAF College he completed his education from various schools.

From grade 1 to 3 Atif Aslam studied in Kimberley Hall School (Lahore). From grade 4 to 8 he studied at Saint Paul’s Cambridge School (Rawalpindi). After that he moved back to Lahore and completed his 9th and 10th grade in Divisional Public School. He completed his intermediate from PAF College in Pre-engineering. There he met Gohar, a guitarist and together they participated in various competitions. They together performed on various events and thus formed a band called “jal”.

Atif Aslam was the lead vocalist in that band. Though their first song “Adat” was a great hit throughout the country and the band became very popular but Atif Aslam left the band because of personal differences and started his career as a solo artist.

Atif Aslam released his debut solo album “Jal Pari” in 2004. The album was not only successful in Pakistan but also in the whole south Asia. Meanwhile he cleared bachelors in computer science (hons.) from the University of Central Punjab. He released his second album “Doorie” in 2006 which was also very successful in the south-Asia.  Atif Aslam was awarded tumgha-e-imtiaz in April 2008 by the Pakistani government because of his remarkable achievements in music.

Atif Aslam has sung various songs for Indian film industry. Atif Aslam started his acting career from a Pakistani film “Bol” which is directed by the famous director “Shoaib Mansoor”. Atif Aslam’s debut movie released in september 2010. In this movie Atif Aslam played the character of a doctor.
