Spicy kidney beans

Spicy kidney beans is a healthy dish and very easy to make. Today i am sharing my recipe with you which i cook at home very often. Beans are full of protein and if you are vegetarian then these beans are good source of proteins.


6 tbsp of Vegetable oil

1 medium size onion,finely chopped

1/3 tsp of salt

1 tsp of red chili powder

1 tsp of ginger and garlic paste

1 large tomato,chopped

3 to 4 green chilies,chopped

½ cup of Raw kidney beans, overnight soaked in water

2 cups of water


1- Take a heavy bottom pan, add vegetable oil and heat the oil on high heat. Once hot, add chopped onions and cook them until they turn golden in color.

2- In onions add little water about 2 tbsp of water and after that add salt and red chili powder. Stir it well.

3- Add Ginger Garlic paste and cook them for a while then add chopped tomato and green chili, stir it well. Add 2 tbsp of water, close the lid and let tomatoes cook for about 5 to 8 minutes.

4- Add soaked red kidney beans to the pan, stir well and add 1 ½ cup of water. Let the water comes to a boil, close the lid. After it comes to a boil turn down the heat to low and cook beans for about 15 minutes.

5- When beans are fully cooked serve right away with flat bread or boiled rice and enjoy..
