Indian-Spiced Chickpea Salad with Yogurt

Chickpeas salad is very colorful salad with full of flavors. chickpeas are main ingredient of this salad. In south asia the chickpeas are also know as chole or kabuli chana. Other Ingredient of chickpeas salad include onion, tomatoes and other herb and spices with some yogurt as well.  You can add other vegetables according to your taste and requirements. The chickpea salad is very easy to make and no as such cooking is required. The chickpea salad is good for a quick lunch at office or any weekend picnic. Ingredients

Boiled chickpeas 2 cups

Boiled potatoes 2 medium size, chopped

Onion 1 medium thinly sliced lengthwise

Salt to marinade onion ¼ tsp

Tomatoes 2 chopped

Green chilies 1 to 2 chopped

Yogurt 1 cup

Red chili powder 1/16 tsp

Salt 1/8 tsp

Ground black pepper 1/8 tsp

Chaat masala ½ tsp

Chickpea salad Procedure

Take a small bowl and put onions in it, add ¼ tsp of salt in onion. Set that aside for about 3 to 6 hours. After that rinse them well and add it into a big mixing bowl. Now add the rest of ingredients chickpeas, potatoes, tomatoes, chilies, yogurt, red chili powder, salt, black pepper, and chaat masala in this big mix bowl. combine and mix everything well. Serve it in a big dish with some herbs on the top and enjoy.
