Aaloo Ki Bhujia recipe

Aaloo Ki Bhujia recipeAaloo Ki Bhujia(Urdu: آلو کی بھجیا Hindi: आलू की भुजिया ) is a very popular dish served with naan, Flat bread, Poori, or kachori. Aaloo ki Bhujia is the most simple potato dish I ever had. You just need hand full of ingredients for this recipe. This dish can be served as a side dish for any occasion. Also you can double or triple the batch if you want. As a home cook, I always try something in a smaller batch because I don’t want to waste a lot if it doesn’t work out for me. This is the most easiest recipe and I hope you like it.

3 medium sized potatoes, chopped(cut them ½ cm in thickness)

1 medium size Tomato,finely chopped

½ tsp salt

1 tsp of red chili powder

¼ tsp of coriander powder

¼ tsp of cumin seeds

3 tbsp of vegetable oil

3/4 cup of water

1- In a pan add vegetable oil and preheat it over medium heat, then add salt, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin seeds , stir it well for about 1 to 2 minutes.

2- Add chopped tomatoes and stir it well. Add ¼ cup of water stir it well and close the lid. On medium high heat let the tomatoes cook for about 5 minutes or until you see that there is no liquid left behind and tomatoes are fully cooked.

3- Add chopped potatoes, stir it well for about 2 minutes then add remaining ½ cup of water and bring the mixture to a boil on medium high heat. Close the lid and let potatoes cook on low heat for about 15 to 20 minutes or until potatoes are fully cooked, it really depends upon the size of potatoes so keep an eye on them.

4- As soon as liquid completely dries out and potatoes are fully cooked serve right away. you can serve Aaloo Ki Bhujia with flat bread, naan or simply as an appetizer. I hope you will enjoy this Aaloo Ki Bhujia dish as much as I do…
